A Brief History

Being on the suburb of Birgu, the village of Kalkara was very familiar to the fishermen and boatmen of that neighbourhood. It was considered as a resting place because of its environmental surroundings.

Throughout the years Kalkara became a locality enriched with historical sites and places of interest while keeping its original character of being a quiet place where one can enjoy the views in full relaxation.
