Herman Foster

Herman Foster (April 26, 1928, Philadelphia - April 3, 1999, New York City) was an American bebop jazz pianist.

Foster was best known for his longtime association with Lou Donaldson; the two played together from 1953 to 1966. He also worked with Eric Dixon, King Curtis, Bill English, and Sheldon Powell in the 1950s, and with Al Casey in the 1960s, in addition to work with his own trio. He returned to work under Donaldson in the 1980s.
